1. Virat Kohli:
Virat Kohli is probably one of the best batsmen ODI format has at present. Miserable failure in Test series won’t hopefully effect his ODI performance as he is an expert in this format. The warm up game did prove a point where he scored 71.
The Indian pacer had a good Test series where he stood as India’s man of the series. His improvement at death overs has been signifcantly good which is the most important thing in the limited over format. The Indian team will be expecting a lot from him.
3. Alex Hales:
Rated as the best batsman at the moment in T20 format, Hales is set to make his ODI debut against India. His recent form in the domestic games has been brilliant as he scored a ton of runs with a very high strike rate which is something the visitors should be worried about.
4. Harry Gurney:
The new sensation for England with ball has been Harry Gurney. He has had a very impressive start to his cricketing career. Picking 9 wickets in the 6 games he played proves that he is very capable of causing problems to the Indian batsmen too.
5. Rohit Sharma:
More known for his talent than performance, Rohit Sharma can be dangerous considering his past one year record. He began playing as anopener in the same England conditions. Rohit will be willing to step up and show what India missed in Test series.
