In a high scoring series so far between two teams England and New Zealand, the series is levelled at 2-2 with the last match, which will be held at Chester Le Street, Durham from 2.30 p.m. IST onwards, promises to be a mouthwatering contest. Both teams have played some excellent cricket especially England who have really shown the intent. In the last match England were given a massive target of 350 and England chased down the target with ease. England and New Zealand really have played some entertaining cricket and the last match of the series promises to be thrilling clash.
In this series England batting approach has been brilliant. They have Alex Hales with Jason Roy who have been giving brilliant starts to the team, followed by Joe Root and the captain Eoin Morgan too has had great time with the bat. Not to forget Ben stokes, Jos Buttler and Sam Billings. Their bowling is inexperienced with David Willey, Steve Finn the only experienced bowler, Adil Rashid and Mark Wood.
New Zealand has powerful batting line with Guptil and McCullum at the top, followed by Kane Willamson who has been in great form and Ross Taylor. Grant Elliot, Ronchi and Santer complete their middle-order. The bowling responsibility lies on Southee, Wheeler, Santer, Willamson, Elliot.

In the previous match at Trent Bridge where England had to chase down a massive 350 runs, he came and took the New Zealand bowlers apart. Eoin Morgan was at his best when he scored 50 off 39 balls. He and Root made sure that England played some excellent and entertaining cricket. He completed his century off 73 balls. He scored 113 off 82 balls. In the final match of the series Eoin Morgan must come to party and ensure that England defeat a much higher ranked side.
In the last match where other bowlers were being smashed all over the park Steve Finn provided the much needed relief. He bowled 10 overs and gave away 51 runs picking 1 wicket. He bowled with good pace and did not allow the NewZeleand batsmen to score runs with ease.
Kane Willamson has been in excellent form in the series so far. His batting in the series has been special to watch. In the previous match he came and was in attacking mood. He scored 90 runs off 70 balls which set the platform for NewZeleand to set a huge target. In the decider Kane Willamson’s contribution is crucial if NewZeleand can put pressure on the England bowling.
Brendon McCullum has not been able to convert starts into big scores in the series so far. In the last match he started well and scored 35 off 31 balls. With the series at stake, the captain has a chance to play a series winning knock.
