Entertainer Virender Sehwag Wishes to Change his Name to ‘God of Cricket’

Former Indian batsman Virender Sehwag, who has been widely-acclaimed for his new innings on virtual world and humouristic stuff over micro-blogging website Twitter after announcing the retirement from the gentleman’s game in 2013, while leaving a significant impact with the bat in the top-order position, as he is being hailed for his adamant approach.
Passionate Sehwag, who has been a strong force to reckon across formats, revealed he had applied for the post of a head coach after discussing his position with current skipper Virat Kohli.
As Kohli is believed to be left with the minimum of at least 8-10 years of international cricket and being in such a prime form and maintaining his, the body eventually makes it a possible scenario for the prolific batsman, in the contemporary cricket.
So far, Kohli has smashed 30 One-day hundreds in 194 One-day internationals, in a bid to equal former Australian captain’s record, who achieved the feat in 375 matches after scoring 13,704 runs at an average of 42.03.
Sehwag further believes being in such kind of form; there’s a possibility of Kohli going past Tendulkar’s incredible record, as the former has made a strong statement with the bat.
“We never thought that there would be another Sachin Tendulkar. But Virat Kohli has changed this mindset. I think Virat can surpass Tendulkar’s records,” Sehwag told india tv.

The statement from the ‘Sultan of Multan’ Sehwag came after he revealed that he had no benefaction and unique connection within the fold of cricket body Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) while failing to make it to the high-profile job of coaching his national side.
Pertinently, after the unceremonious stepping down of the former Indian coach Anil Kumble, Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) comprised of Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar, and VVS Laxman suggested Shastri as a choice for BCCI.
However, the Board is being run by Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) which is headed by Vinod Rai.
The explosive batsman Sehwag in his startling interview further expressed that he wants to change his name to the legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar, who is known as ‘God of Cricket’ amongst the cricket fraternity.
“I would want to change my name to Sachin Tendulkar if I could do it,” Sehwag said.
Moreover, Sehwag stressed everyone would have a liking to become the ‘God’ in this temporary world like the prominent figure and batting icon Tendulkar, who is the highest run-scorer in the international cricket.
“He is called as the “God” and who would not want to be a God in this mortal world,” Sehwag suggested.

In his interview talking about the length and breadth whether he would apply for the future for the coaching post, as he further believes his long-term batting partner Tendulkar is way ahead of him while owning the multiple records under his belt, during his illustrious career between 1989 and 2013.
“He has tons of records, I am not even close to him.” Sehwag admitted.
Interestingly, Sehwag tasted the success while donning the white jersey, as he averaged 49.24 in 104 Tests. He scored 8,586 runs in 180 innings.
The Delhi-born batsman Sehwag smashed 23 hundreds and 32 fifties in the five-day format. He also featured in 251 ODIs and 19 T20Is after making his debut in 1999 against Pakistan at Mohali.
