Superstar Rajnikanth’s latest film Kabali, which is releasing today(July 21), has created a lot of buzz around the country. In fact, the enthusiasm and craze around the film has made the fans  even forget about the Indian Team’s match in the Caribbeans. But do not worry because we are bringing to you the highlights of all the action of the first day.

After winning the toss, Indian skipper Virat Kohli decided to bat first. India started poorly as they lost two key batsmen, Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara, with only 74 on the board. While Vijay failed to read a well-directed bouncer, Pujara mistimed a pull short to a Devendra Bishoo delivery Pujara dismissal brought the India’s best performers together on the pitch. Virat Kohli joined Shikhar Dhawan and both added 105 runs for the third wicket before Dhawan was out trying to sweep Devendra Bishoo. Rahane became Bishoo’s third dismissal.

While wickets were falling at one end, Virat Kohli stood firm on the other side. the Indian skipper scored his 12th Test century and fifth as a captain to take India to 302 for 4 after the end of day’s play. Leading from the front, Kohli scored 143 not out, decorated with 16 fours.

Kohli and R Ashwin(22) will start the proceeding on day two with the bat.
