India’s stylish and carefree batsman Shikhar Dhawan is quite popular, especially among the youngsters. He speaks out his heart whenever he gets a chance to interact with his admirers. This time he has advised School children of Kolkata to follow what their heart say. Dhawan was talking to the children of Purushottam Bhagchanda Academic School on Saturday. Giving the message loud and clear, Shikhar said, “Studies are important, but do follow your dream. Be it sports, music, art if you do what you enjoy, then you will never get tired.”
Dhawan also admitted frankly that he was not really very interested in studies. “Those five hours in school used to feel like a year.”
Remembering his dream to play with Sachin Tendulkar, he added “My dream of playing with Sachin paaji came true when I played with him for Mumbai Indians. He is a fantastic person to be with, and he is always ready to share his knowledge.”
When Dhawan was asked how many times Sachin had got out between 90 and 100, he stated “I can’t even say how many times I have got out. You should never talk to a cricketer about getting out.”
Dhawan also added that the Indian cricket team was like a family to him. Millions of his followers do hope that Shikhar Dhawan will contribute substantially in the upcoming events with his aggressive batting, although a bit of more consistency is expected from him.
