Former Pakistan off-spinner Arshad Khan (46) have met reality as he is now driving a taxi like other Indian and Pakistani immigrants in Sydney, Australia. The 26-year-old bowler who made his international debut in a Test match against West Indies at Peshawar. He has 32 wickets in 9 Tests with a the highest match figure 7 for 92. He also took 56 ODI wickets in 58 matches with the highest 4 for 33.
His career span for nine years between 1997 and 2006. In the year 1997 Allrounder Azhar Mahmood made debut for Pakistan, who is still playing professional cricket for English county Kent and T20 league across the world. But, Arshad Khan has not caliber like Mahmood, so he left not only cricket by also country Pakistan for Australia.
On Monday, a social media user, Ganesh Birle shared the unfortunate news on Facebook that Khan was found driving a taxi in Sydney. On a sad note Birle, belong to Hyderabad, India on last Saturday visited in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia shared the photo writes, “He was the driver of our cab and we started chatting, he told me that he is from Pakistan and lives in Sydney. Also that he has been to Hyderabad many times when he was playing for Lahore Badshahs something in ICL. After which I asked him his full name and then I was shocked to see his face which I could partially recognise. I shook has his hand and left. (sic)”.
Arshad Khan played his last match against India at Rawalpindi, on February 11, 2006. He also played his last Test against in Bangalore in 2005.
