Well, the issues raised by master blaster Sachin Tendulkar have created waves in the world of cricket. It is obvious that most the members of the then Indian Team will offer their opinion as to the ground realities leading to the situation created by the then Indian coach, Greg Chappell. Former Indian cricketer Kirti Azad has said that the issues should have been raised right there and then. Many team mates of Sachin Tendulkar – right from Ganguly, Zaheer Khan, VVS Laxman and Harbhajan Singh to Rahul Dravid – have expressed their opinion. It is expected that almost everyone in Indian cricket, ranging from commentators to experts and coaches to administrators, each one will have his say on this complex situation, especially after a point blank denial by Chappell.

Millions of the fans of the game will definitely like to analyze the role of Greg Chappell, but in this attempt, the relations between our former cricketers should not get sour. Thus, it is imperative that all concerned should ensure that they do not cross the limit and offering comment on fellow player should invariably be avoided.

However, a controversy is already taking shape. In response to Saurav Ganguly’s remarks on Rahul Dravid’s silence, the cool and contented Dravid has reacted strongly.

He said,”If Ganguly is saying I could not control Greg Chappell, he is entitled to an opinion. He has played many years for India. But he can’t put words in my mouth as I have never had any such conversation with him.”

He added, “I have had a good relationship with all the coaches I have worked under. I don’t have any reaction to make as it may have been a private talk. And besides I haven’t read the book. Once I read I will share what I feel, if I think there is a need to react.”
