Defiant Mohammad Hafeez keen to continue bowling

The Pakistan batsman Mohammad Hafeez is set to miss the rest of ODI series and T20 series following a calf injury which he sustained before the Lords ODI. He was faced to miss the ODI as he suffered a minor strain on his left calf.

However, Hafeez will not fly back home as he is expected to continue his rehabilitation camp here only. The Pakistan has called a replacement for him in form of Mohammad Irfan who can exploit the conditions here in England.

Hafeez was going through a rough patch on this tour as he could just score 102 runs in six innings off the first three Test matches he played; as a result, he was dropped from the final encounter.

His batting woes continued in ODI’s as well as he could just score 11 runs in the Southampton ODI which the Pakistan lost by 44 runs. England team won the second ODI as well and now just need one win to seal the series. There are still 3 matches to go in this ODI series.
