The Indian skipper MS Dhoni has allegedly got the High court to issue a case against the Chairman and Managing Director of the Maxx Mobilink corporation due to violation of court orders of restraining from endorsing any products using the captain’s brand name.
Justice Suresh Kait asked Ajjay R Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director(CMD) of Maxx Mobilink Pvt Ltd to reply to the plea from the High Court in this issue due to a contempt from Dhoni. The court has given him time till July 23rd so as to issue why the proceedings be not initiated.
The court has issued an order in this regard in January of this year asking the organization not to sell any products that are endorsed by the Indian skipper and Dhoni’s legal counsel has advised him to proceed with the plea. The counsel wanted the court to ban any product that is sold by the use of his clients name once and for all and that this will be the best solution.
Dhoni also added in the plea that the agreement to endorse the products expired in December of 2012 and that even after the court notice in December last year that the respondent should not sell any product whose endorsement is in anyway related to MS Dhoni but this did not change things. It also explained how Maxx Ltd. is still selling the mobile phone named MSD7 which bear the skippers initials and his jersey number 7.
