Naman Ojha, the wicket Keeper batsman for Madhya Pradesh and also for the Central Zone, has been in the form of his life, and is back in the reckoning for a spot in the Indian Team. After MS Dhoni was being rested for the First Three ODI’s against Sri Lanka ,Indian selectors had picked Saha to replace MSD.

Naman Ojha said,”I dont think I am competing with Saha. Our skill sets are cmpletely different.” Wriddhiman Saha is a specialised Wicket Keeper, and gets in the team as an Wicket Keeper who can bat, but I can play as a specialist batsman in any position between 1 to 7.

This is Ojha’s best phase in First Class Cricket, he has scored 4 Hundred’s in his last 5 Domestic games which also includes 2 Double Hundred’s. “I can safely say that I am more complete batsman now compared to what I was when I first played in Zimbabwe back in 2010,” said Ojha.

Ojha recently score a Double Hundred in the Duleep Trophy semi final, which helped his team Central Zone Qualify for the Final. He was also selected in the Indian A team that had recently toured Australia. He had scored a Double Hundred against Australia A in Australia, and he rates the Hundred against Australia A higher than all other knocks. ” That will be a special knock as I got it in Australia. The quality of bowling attack was much superior than what we get in India.

Ojha just like Robin Uthappa had hired the services of Praveen Amre as a personal batting consultant and the move seems to have paid rich dividends to both the players. Ojha’s wicket Keeping has faced a lot of criticism but he is confident  that he has improved on that aspect of his game. With Saha suffering an injury,he needs to go under a fitness test. If Saha’s is not fit t would be an intresting situation to see who gets selected.
