Pakistan leg-spinner Yasir Shah has been found positive by international cricket’s anti-doping code. Yasir bans from all forms of cricket for indefinite times. A performance enhancing drug- chlorthalidone, has been found in his blood sample.

The test was conducted on November 13, 2015, during the series against England in UAE.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) today announced that Pakistan’s bowler Yasir Shah has been charged with an anti-doping rule violation under the ICC Anti-Doping Code.

Yasir has been instrumental in Pakistan’s Sri Lanka series victory after 2006 and also helped Pakistan to defeat England at UAE.

Yasir has taken 76 wickets in 12 Tests and 15 wickets in 12 matches. He has been the best spinner of the year. This year Yasir has taken 49 wickets from 7 Tests. He ranks third on the ICC Ranking.

In June-July Sri Lanka series he has taken 24 wickets, while against England at UAE he grabbed 15 wickets. During the November series against England, Shane Warner lauded him as the best leg spinner of the contemporary cricket. Warne trained with him before playing the ALL Star Cricket T20 league in the USA.

Yasir is the third Pakistani cricketers after Mohammed Asif and Shoaib Akhtar found breaching the anti-dope code.
