ICC Women’s World Cup 2017 – Twitter Reacts As India Storm Into World Cup Final

It is time and again said, that to overcome a mountain, a once in a lifetime effort is needed. In the all important semi final against defending champions Australia, the Indian women did just that, as the women in blue marched their way to the final. The Mithali Raj led outfit will now lock horns with England at the Mecca of Cricket, Lord’s.

The game though would be best remembered for the bludgeoning knock of Punjab star Harmanpreet Kaur, as the middle order batter put on an epic batting display. Her unbeaten 171 off just a mere 115 deliveries was among the greatest knocks of women’s cricket ever played. The way she decimated Australia, it is bound to inspire a lot of girls back home in India to take the sport in a more serious way.

Twitter was on absolute fire as India went into the finals and below are some of the tweets.
