After upsetting West Indies in their first match, Ireland will take on UAE on the 25th February 2015 at Brisbane. The match will start at 9.00 AM IST. With the pitch at Brisbane helpful for fast bowlers, it will be an exciting battle. Ireland chased down a huge score of 304 against West Indies while UAE lost to Zimbabwe by 4 wickets in their respective previous matches.

Team Guide

Ireland have a strong batting line up. At the top of order, Paul Striling and captain William Porterfield provided a solid start against West Indies, followed by Ed Joyce, Kevin and NJ O’Brien, Wilson and Mooney. The bowling looks decent with Mooney, Sorensen, Mcbrine and slow-left arm Dockerell, who was impressive in the last game.

The UAE team has played the World Cup once in 1996 and finished second last. This team plays cricket with associate nations but do not get a chance of playing with the big teams. The UAE team scored 285 runs in the first match against Zimbawawe which was quite a decent effort from their batting line-up. The batting looks quite okay with Krishna Chandra, Khurram Khan, Shaiman Anwar, Ajmad Javed and Mohammad Javed. Theri bowling looks excellent with Mohmmad Naved, Ajmad Javed. They can add another fast bowler if the pitch is helpful for fast bowlers.

Previous World Cup encounters:

It’ll be the first encounter between these two countries.

Key Players to watch out for:

Ireland: Paul Striling

He is an explosive opener for Ireland. In the previous match against West Indies he gave the foundation of scoring 92 runs. It helped Ireland to chase down a huge score against test member nation. This batsman can hit the big shots with ease and can put the pressure on the bowlers. UAE must get him out early or else he can hurt them badly.

UAE: Khurram Khan

Khurram Khan played well against Zimbabwe in the first match. He scored 45 runs and let the others to score with ease. He is a 43-year old player and if UAE have to post a defendable total, he’ll have to score huge runs.

Probable Playing XI:

William Porterfield, Paul Stirling, Ed Joyce, Niall O’Brien, Gary Wilson, Andy Balbirine, Kevin O’Brien, John Mooney, Max Sorenson, Craig Young, George Dockrell

Amjad Ali, Andri Berenger, Krishna Chandran, Khurram Khan, Swapnil Patil, Shaiman Anwar, Rohan Mustafa, Mohammad Naveed, Amjad Javed, Mohammad Tauqir, Nasir Aziz.
