England begins their WT20 2016 journey against West Indies at Mumbai on Wednesday. The 2010 WT20 champion team will play against the 2012 WT20 champion team, West Indies, in the Group A encounter of Super 10 stage.
After a shock exit at 2015 ICC World Cup, England is currently in very good form in international cricket. In the T20I, their recent performances are excellent. Before suffering last two defeats against South Africa, England had won 6 consecutive T20Is including a super-over match.
England team is a well-balanced side in T20I cricket. They have strong batting line-up along with good all-rounders. On the other hand, the team has depth in bowling in pace and spin both.
As far as weakness goes, the batsmen always struggle against the spinners, especially leg-spinner. West Indies has one leg-spinner in the squad, so England needs to be careful against Badree.
England has never defeated West Indies in WT20. England has lost in all three WT20 meetings against West Indies. On the other hand, England has won 4 T20Is out of 12 T20Is against West Indies while England has faced 8 defeats.
England probable XI: Eoin Morgan (captain), Jason Roy, Alex Hales, Joe Root, Jos Buttler, Chris Jordan, Adil Rashid, Moeen Ali, Ben Stokes, Reece Topley, David Willey.
