IND v ENG: Ajinkya Rahane Turns To Pravin Amre In A Bid To Regain Form

Ajinkya Rahane, who has had a poor series against England so far, has turned to Pravin Amre to regain some form for the last two Tests. Rahane, India’s vice-captain, has just scored 63 runs in three Tests at an average of 12.60. He has been found wanting especially against spinners.
In the series where even India’s lower order batsmen have done extremely well, it’s surprising why Rahane hasn’t been able to perform.
To solve his issues against spin, he has now turned to Pravin Amre, who is rated as the best batting coach in the domestic circle. Previously, Amre has helped players Robin Uthappa and Suresh Raina to get their spot back in the Indian team. Dinesh Karthik and Naman Ojha are also the players who’ve looked up to him to make a comeback. Now it’s time for Ajinka Rahane to reap benefits from him to get back his midas touch.
When all players of the Indian team were enjoying a week off, Rahane was seen at the MCA’s Bandra-Kurla complex taking tips from Pravin Amre. Rahane has to turn the tables soon before its get too late for him.
