IND vs AUS, 2nd Test: Twitter Reacts As Abhinav Mukund Fails In Comeback Match
Mar 4, 2017 at 12:17 PM
After suffering a heavy 333-run defeat in the first Test, India needed to make a strong start in the ongoing second Test against Australia. However, the hosts suffered a huge setback even before the match started as Murali Vijay was ruled out of the clash after he suffered a injury.
The match did not start on a get note either as Vijay’s replacement, Abhinav Mukund, who was making his comeback in the Indian team after five years, was dismissed for an eight-ball duck within the first 15 minutes of the first session. A 61-run partnership between KL Rahul and Cheteshwar Pujara steadied the ship before the latter was dismissed on the stroke of lunch break. The hosts were 72 for 2 when the lunch break was called.
Meanwhile, the Twitterati have trolled Mukund for his batting failure in his comeback match. The Indian openers have struggled to do well for quite some time and fans could not contain themselves when a new opener also failed with the bat. Here are some of the best reactions:
