India A beat Australia A in the final of the Paytm tri-series at the MA Chidabram Stadium at Chennai just few hours ago. It was a good performance by the India A players who played some excellent cricket and won the series.

Chasing a target of 227 runs India A openers Mayank Aggarwal and Unmkut began the Indian innings in sn aggressive fashion putting 59 for the first wicket. Mayank Aggarwal was the first wicket to fall at the score 59. Unmkut Chand fell next in the span of 5 runs to leave India A at 64 for 2. Nair, Pandey and Kedhar Jadhav fell in quick succession to leave India A at 108 for 5. Gurkeet Singh and Axar Patel played an important innings as both of them put 34 for the 6 wicket. Then Gurkeet Singh Mann and Sanju Samson played an excellent innings. Singh mann completed his half century and Sanju Samson too supported him well. Gurkeet Singh Mann remained not out on 87 and Sanju Samson not out on 24. India A won the match by 4 wickets and with 37 balls to spare.

Earlier in the day Australia A won the toss and elected to bat. The openers Usman Khwaja and Joe Burns started off to an aggressive with both them putting 82 for the first wicket. After the loss of Burns, the Indian spinners came and put brakes on runs scoring. Travis Head, Chris Lynn and Khwaja went in quick succession leaving Australia A at 159 for 4. The Indian spinner never let the Australia A batsman to score runs and limited Australia A to 226 for 9 in 50 over’s. The pick of the bowlers was Karn Sharma picking 3 wickets, Gurkeet Singh Mann picking 2 wickets. The fielding of Indian A team was outstanding and saving so many runs.
