After clinching the three match ODI series with a 62 run win in the second ODI, India would be looking to complete another whitewash in Zimbabwean soil twice in two years. The third and final ODI will take place in Harare, the same venue as the previous two ODI’S took place.
After taking a commendable 2-0 lead in the ODI series India would be looking to close it out with a complete 3-0 whitewash. After a nail biting, first ODI match India was all in control in the second ODI as they won by a comfortable margin of 62 runs and the Indian skipper Rahane, has shown some good signs as a captain leading from the front.
Murali Vijay, Ajinkiya Rahane, Ambati Rayudu and Stuart Binny have stamped their authority with some solid performances in the batting department where as for Robin Uthappa, Manoj Tiwary and Kedhar Jadhav it has been a sorry tale. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been the real backbone in the bowling department for India as he defended 10 runs in the last over of the first ODI and bowled India to victory and in the second ODI he claimed 4 wickets in his quota of 10 overs. The likes of Dhawal Kulkarni, Harbhajan Singh and Akshar Patel has been decent. With series already in the Kitty, India will look to rest the likes of Bhuvneshwar and Kulkarni and give a chance to the promising pacer Sandeep Sharma and Mohit Sharma.
India would like to extend their winning run by clinching the third and final ODI and are the clear favourites to win it, and for Zimbabwe if there is any chance of replicating the same performance as the first ODI they might spring in a surprise and can emerge victorious.
