Everyone has missed MS Dhoni when India just lost the first test despite the scintillating innings of Virat Kohli. MS Dhoni who is one of the best finishers of the world, could have saved the day. His rich captaincy experience will make a huge difference in the remaining test matches.

He seems to be confident in his team as he has recently stated that his team is not afraid of Brisbane ground where the Australians have not lost a Test since 1988.

MS Dhoni who has recovered from his thumb injury would return to captain India in the second Test that would begin at Gabba on Wednesday. Commenting on Clarke’s absence from the Test Match he said

“It’s unfortunate he’s missing a Test series because of injury. To some extent it will help us, him not being there. That’s quite a big blow. simple stats say he comes in and scores runs.”

Commenting on his team’s performance at Gabba he opined –

“The last couple of tours we haven’t played here. We have won at some of the fastest Test wickets – Johannesburg and Perth. There will be something extra for the bowlers, especially the fast bowlers.”

He also expressed his faith in R Ashwin who may replace Karn Sharma is the next test. He said

“Ashwin is definitely someone who can bat lower down the order. We feel it is very important, at times we have lost No 8, 9 and 10 cheaply.”

Appreciating Virat Kohli’s captaincy he said –

“It was the right approach, we went for the target which was important. We did the right thing.”

It is hoped that MS Dhoni’s faith in Team India would prove to be true and Indians would win the upcoming Test match.
