India have maanged to retain their fourth position in the latest ICC Test rankings despite a loss in the third Test against England at Southampton. The five-match series is currently tied at 1-1.

After drawing the first Test, India managed to win the second match at Lord’s but lost the third test heavily. Despite the defeat, MS Dhoni and his team has maintained their fourth spot at 102 rating points. If India manage to perform well in the remaining two Tests and Pakistan lose their upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka, then India would surely gain in the ranking table.

The Indian team would be hoping that they can finish the test series well and Pakistan slip up against Sri Lanka. This would ensure a steady rise for team India in the rankings.
