Cricket Australia announced that India will tour Australia for five One day Internationals and three T-20 internationals in 2016. The Indian team lost to Australia in the semi finals at the Sydney Cricket Ground in fron of the full capacity crowd. Australia went on to win the 2015 World Cup.

Last year India toured Australia for four Test matches and tri series where the Indians failed to win a single match. This will be their second tour to Australia in as many years. The Indian team played some excellent cricket in the Test series but lost 0-2 to the Australians. The semi final of the World Cup 2015 was watched by more 300 million fans on Star TV in India.

India starts their series on 12th January at WACA Perth, followed by Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney.

It promises to be another mouthwatering series between the top two teams in the World. The Indian team and Australian team will be looking to prepare for T-20 World Cup that is going to be held in India. The crowds for the matches in the World Cup 2015 were brilliant and we want the Indians, Sri Lankans to come to the grounds and maintain a passion for cricket.

-> 1st ODI(WACA, Perth)- 12 January.

-> 2nd ODI(Gabba, Brisbane)- 15th January.

-> 3rd ODI(MCG, Melbourne)- 17th January.

-> 4th ODI(Manuka Oval, Canberra)- 20th January.

-> 5th ODI(SCG, Syndey)- 23th January.

2) T-20 series schedule

-> 1st T-20(Adelaide Oval)- 26th January.

-> 2nd T-20(MCG)- 29th January.

-> 3rd T-20(SCG)- 31st January.
