India v England 3rd T20I: Yuzvendra Chahal Scalps Six To Help India Win T20I Series

The Indian team registered an emphatic win over England by a margin of 75 runs in the third and the final T20I of the series to register a white-wash over the visitors in all three formats.

In a chase of  203 runs, Morgan’s men were right in the game from the start which was evident from the fact that Yuzvendra Chahal was welcomed to the crease with a six but he struck a blow in the same over.

Just like Indian team, after losing an early wicket, the second wicket partnership steered visitors ahead before Roy got dismissed after 45 runs.

The responsibility fell on the shoulders of Eoin Morgan and Joe Root to do the job for the team in the quest to go back with at least one trophy but pressure mounted by Amit Mishra and Morgan returning back to the pavilion at the wrong time with England still 84 runs behind the total, led to a dramatic collapse. Chahal continued to tumble wickets as he trapped Root in front of wickets the very next ball, to put England in a pit.

The wicket of Jos Buttler in the very next over just buried England and now a win for India was written all but a formality.

Chahal meanwhile, continued to add to his tally of wickets. He ended the game with magical match figures of 4-0-25-6.

England batsmen then just started gifting wickets to Indian bowlers, as they were bundled on a score of 127 runs with Indian team winning the game by 75 runs and the sealing the series.

Earlier when asked to bat, team India had an abysmal start as a mix up between Virat Kohli and KL Rahul, resulted in Virat Kohli being run out on a score of two, with team India yet to get into the groove.

Suresh Raina, the next man in, took his time to settle down but he steered the team ahead to a score of 65 runs, after which KL Rahul was bowled on a no-ball.

Dhoni joined his former CSK teammate and both went on to bat for next 37 balls, adding 55 crucial runs for the third wicket.

Yuvraj Singh, the man who replaced Raina in the middle, did not have a great start as he was struggling to get in touch at the start and could just score five runs in first five balls he faced and it was 18th over of the game that really changed the course of the game as Yuvraj smashed 23 in runs in five deliveries he faced.

This over can be termed as the one which really changed the script for Indians as never till this over Indian team looked in contention to touch the 200 run mark.

Team India finished the innings with a score of 202/6, thanks to 124 runs scored by batsmen in the last 10 overs of the game.

This target proved too much for visitors and the Indian team won first ever T20I bilateral series against England at the end of the day.
