After winning the third test match at ST Lucia, the Indian team became the number one ranked team in the world. In the ongoing fourth Test match held at Port of Spain, Trinidad, only 22 overs have been possible so far. With two days to go and more rains predicted, India is on the verge of losing the number 1 ranked side in Test matches.

India needed to win the fourth Test match to strengthen their position at the top spot in Test matches. With a drawn Test likely at T&T, arch rivals Pakistan would become the number 1 ranked team in test cricket. Pakistan drew the four test match test series against England in England 2-2.

The other beneficiary from the latest ICC test rankings would be Sri Lanka who will jump to sixth after they whitewashed Australia 3-0. Australia will slip down to 3rd after their poor test outing in test series against Sri Lanka.

India will have a great chance of claiming the number 1 rank position as they play 3 test matches against New Zealand, England, and Australia in coming 6 months. While Pakistan will play West Indies in UAE and then will tour Australia for 3 test matches.

The Indian team have dominated the West Indies team in the test series. The rains have deprived India of winning the series in more commanding manner.
