When Indian team kicked off the long home season on 22nd September 2016, all had just one thought in mind i.e. the home season will be a cake walk for the hosts and India will demolish each and every obstacle coming their way.

The story-line went ahead as per the pre-meditated script, as New Zealand was whitewashed in the Test series and India had a flying start.

Soon, they needed a parachute to rescue themselves after the drawn Rajkot Test against England, which was an eye opener for Virat Kohli’s men, as the visitors trapped the home side in the spin web, which Indians found difficult to cut and come out.

It was a short lived happiness for England, as they were soon put at bay by the men-in-form, the Indians, as they could not register any other win in that series.

The story repeated itself, as in the first Test against Australia, India was bamboozled and the loss came as the setback. However, India rebounded against the bolstered Australian side. They, won the Bangalore Test, drew the Ranchi game and later accomplished the Dharamsala match to first win the Border-Gavaskar series 2-1, and later completed their fourth series win on the trot.

With this series win, India became the third team after Australia and South Africa to register a win in their last series against all the nine oppositions.

Here is the list of series results against nine oppositions which whom India have faced –
