Following the 4-match Test Series, India will be playing, what many believe would be a crucial triangular series involving hosts Australia, India and England.
This series would be very important, considering that this will be the last chance to experiment for India defending their World Cup title in Australia and New Zealand and hence, it would the last chance for the Indian team management to finalise the XI that would be most likely to take the field in their World Cup opener against arch-rivals Pakistan on February 15th at the Adelaide Oval. India will be keen to win this series before defending the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, as everyone knows how essential it is that in a tournament like this teams need to go into it with a winning momentum, as it does a lot for the confidence of the team.
India narrowly missed out on reaching the final last time around, despite Virat Kohli’s brilliant innings against Sri Lanka at Hobart and will be looking to amends this time around. England would also be trying that they are not just a Test team and would be looking to prove that in those type of conditions even they can be the team which could perhaps compete with the best teams, Australia meanwhile would be trying to get the fan support and would be looking to prove why is it so tough to beat them at home.
England will play to warm up matches, and all the matches are day- night and will be starting at 8.50 IST.
