Hardly few days left for the Indian team to play the first ODI match against England after losing the Test series despite a historic win at Lord’s. Indian batsmen will have to prove their worth by showcasing their batting talent on overseas pitches as well and this is the best opportunity for the young guns to do the same.

There have been few batsmen who have batted with some ease on English pitches and scored a lot of runs. Hence we would take a look at a list of Indian batsmen who have scored most number of ODI runs against England in England.

Player Name

Highest Score

Rahul Dravid

Sachin Tendulkar

Sourav Ganguly

Yuvraj Singh

MS Dhoni

Mohammed Azharrudin

Stat updated till 21 Aug 2014

There are just 6 batsmen in the history of Indian batsmen who have scored more than 300 ODI runs in England against England. With the leader being Rahul Dravid with 648 runs, followed by Sachin with 639 runs and then comes Ganguly to complete the trio with 565 runs. MS Dhoni is the only batsmen in the current Indian team with more than 300 ODI runs against England in England.

Another thing to make note is that there are just 2 centuries being hit by Indian batsmen in this record and that are by Sachin and Virat who have scored 105* and 107 respectively. This makes currently out of form Virat Kohli with the best score in a single innings on English pitches against England.

It will interesting to see if this record can be bettered and more over if India can win a few matches as well.
