Indian Cricketers Inaugurate Cricket Academy Of Pathans

The two Indian cricketers, Yousuf Pathan and his younger brother Irfan Pathan, have inaugurated their fourth Cricket Academy on Tuesday in Lunawada, Gujarat, which is another branch of Cricket Academy of Pathans (CAP) in order to flourish in the sport as the country itself.

Pathan brothers are aiming to provide a platform to raw and young players, who can showcase their talent while availing the basic and much-required facilities after getting enrolled in the academy.

“India today, has no dearth of talent, it’s just that they need to be mentored, trained and guided in the right direction,” CAP director Irfan Pathan was quoted as saying by PTI.

They felt there is a dire need of academies in order to produce quality cricketers while adding nursing players plays a pivotal role in the field of a sport while having the cricket fanatics around.

Brothers are also planning to extend the CAP in other five cities of the country, in the foreseeable future.

The senior players are also having the prime focus to work on the all-round development of the young crop of cricketers while adding coaches are also trained to monitor the strength and weakness of kids respectively.

In February, having the passion for the game, both inaugurated their academy in Raipur which further would extend the services to kids in nutrition in order to stay fit and excel in the field of sport.

“We at CAP will ensure each child gets the required attention,” Irfan said.

The Pathan brothers, who have been part of Team India in the recent past, are eyeing to complete the inauguration of at least 20 academies by the end of 2017.

“Many a times, a talent is lost out due to improper guidance or the coaches’ inability to gauge these important aspects and guide them accordingly,” Irfan remarked.

The reports revealed the academy is based on two components which provide training to coaches before youngsters are being coached in tandem.

“We at CAP will ensure new standards for coaching and development of cricket in India,” Irfan concluded.

Irfan, who wasn’t picked for this year’s Indian Premier League’s action, was introducing by IPL franchise after Andrew Tye was ruled out of the Twenty20 competition due to shoulder injury

Without having too much of a success, Irfan played just a single game in the ongoing season in which he went wicketless. However, in overall 103 matches, Irfan claimed 80 wickets and scored 1,139 runs.

On the other side, Yousuf played all 14 group matches for Kolkata Knight Riders in which he scored 143 runs.

The right-handed batsman has also claimed a wicket in this season as Gautam Gambhir-led side has qualified for the knockout stage after seeing the team at fourth position with 16 points whereas, off-colour Lions ended their IPL 2017 with the dismal show while remaining at seventh position with eight points.
