The five wise men of Indian Cricket will sit together and pick the 15 member squad for the ODI series against West Indies which begins on October 8. This series begins India’s road to World Cup which is just four months away. India will look to start their preparations with a bang as they are looking to defend their World Cup crown down under. The big news ahead of the West Indies series is that batsman Rohit Sharma, who has been doing well in the ODI’s off late will be missing out of the squad due to the shoulder injury he sustained during his rehab fir the finger injury he sustained during the second ODI against England at Birstol.

The squad might also see the likes of Sanju Samson and Karn Sharma retained in the squad and might have Robin Uthappa coming back into the 15 member squad led by MS Dhoni. Bhuvneshawar Kumar, Mohammad Shami and Mohit Sharma are direct entries and the pace department might see Ashish Nehra coming back into the National side courtesy his exceptional performances in the CLT20.

The rest of the squad is an automatic choice. This series will be crucial for Virat Kohli who will be itching to get back to form.

The Squad:

MS Dhoni (c), Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Murli Vijay, Virat Kohli, Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Mohit Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Amit Mishra.
