Suresh Raina, India’s middle-order mainstay, is currently one of the best hitters in the cricketing world. -> Suresh Raina is the youngest of five siblings in a Kashmiri Pundit family, who have origins in the Rainawari quarter of Srinagar.

-> Raina’s nickname is ‘Chota Sachin‘. 

-> He is the only Indian batsman to score a hundred across all formats of the game

-> His unbeaten 34-run knock against Australia in the quarter-finals and 36-run knock against Pakistan in the semi-finals of ICC World Cup 2011 proved decisive in India’s victory against both these oppositions. 

->  Till date, Raina is the only player to score 3000 runs in IPL

->  He is also the only Indian player to hit a hundred in T20 World Cup

-> He holds the record of the most number of catches (52) in IPL

-> At the age of 23y 182d, Raina became the second youngest captain of the Indian Cricket Team. Legend Sachin Tendulkar was the youngest to lead an Indian side (23y 126d). 

-> He is the only player to have scored over 400 runs in every IPL season

->  Raina also holds the record of playing the most number of ODIs (108) before making his Test debut.

-> He is also the 12th Indian player to score a hundred on Test Debut. He achieved this feat against Sri Lanka at Colombo in 2010.
