Afghanistan coach Inzamam-ul-Haq

Former Pakistan captain and batting stalwart Inzamam-ul-Haq said that he reduced his weight before the 2003 World Cup in South Africa. But, there is funny anecdote the current Afghanistan coach revealed. He reduced19 kg and scored only 19 runs in 2003 World Cup.

So, Inzamam after that World Cup never tried to reduce his weight. Inzamam revealed it on a TV show called Salam Cricket of Headlines Today.

Former Pakistani captain, who led his national team from 2003 to 2007, said that India will have an edge over Pakistan on March 19 Dharamshala match, but he thought soon it will be changed.

“Right now, it seems India has an edge over Pakistan, but soon it will change,” Inzamam said.

He also admitted that Virender Sehwag made his captaincy difficult. “Difficult to be a captain when Virender Sehwag was batting, had to put 5 fielders on the boundary on the 1st day of a Test,” the batting legend said. said aggression reason of current India team’s success in T20 cricket. Inzamam also believes that lower middle order makes a team strong, and India have that. “Every team has a good top order, it’s the lower order which makes a team dangerous. India is a better team than others because of the lower order,” Inzamam said.

He also advocated for Pakistan’s participation in India for the World T20 2016. Pakistan government has sent a three-member security inspection team in India to observe the security situations at Dharmashala.

The Himachal Pradesh government said that it would not be able to provide security to Pakistan team.  Former all-rounder Imran Khan said that Pakistan should not visit India as HP government is opposing the match. However, Inzamam, who is in India with Afghanistan team said, “Pakistan should come to India, there should be Cricket between both the countries.”
