KKR won the IPL7 , defeating Kings X11 by 3 wickets . Chasing a target of 200 runs , they did it in 20th overs , with 3 balls to spare.

1: Wridhiman Saha : Kings X11 Punjab did not have a good start and were placed at around 5 runs per over at the end of the 5th over . But , then Saha decided to launch and scored 115 from just 55 runs, which included 10 boundaries and 8 sixes. For a long time, he remained under the shadows of MS Dhoni , but now he has proved himself and his selection in the Indian team.

2: Manish Pandey: After KKR lost Uthappa’s wicket in the very first over , Manish Pandey stepped up to the scene and started going after the bowlers right from the start. He took off the pressure from Gautam Gambhir and looked to play till the end. He was launching every bowler and did maintain the tempo of the innings. He scored 94 from just 50 balls befofe getting out in an attempt to clear the boundary.

3: Akshar Patel: It was a day when all the bowlers were belted for the maximums and even Sunil Narine faced the hammering. But this young lad from Gujarat responded to the faith , the selectors have shown in him. He just gave away 21 runs and kept up the pressure on the batsman. His 18th over ensured that KKR don’t run away with the match.

4: Manan Vohra: A day when no one among the big names of the Kings X11 Punjab clicked , he along with Wridhiman Saha ensured that Kings X11 Punjab reach a big total and actually they went on to score 199. He scored 67 runs from 52 balls , with 6 boundaries and 2 hits out of the boundary.

1: Sunil Narine: Sunil Narine preferred KKR over his Test team  and this must have pleased the KKR management. But his performance in today’s match must not have pleased the management. He has been the go to bowler for KKR in the death overs but today he went for 46 runs in 4 overs and was belted on the leg side. He even dropped Saha of his own bowling.

2: Robin Uthappa: Uthappa is the purple cap holder and a lot was expected of him and especially after KKR was set a target of 200 by the Kings X11 Punjab. But , after striking a boundary of the first ball, he went after a wide one on the 3rd delivery he faced  and ended up giving a catch to Akshar Patel. He scored just 5 runs from 3 balls.

3: Virender Sehwag: After scoring a century in the 2nd Qualifier , a lot was expected of him and especially after  the pitch was similar to the last match. But what happened in the match was just opposite. He scored just 7 runs and took 10 balls for it.

4: Karanveer Singh: He along with Akshar Patel were responsible to turn the fortunes of Punjab against CSK. But today , he was very expensive and went for runs in crunch situations. He was belted for big sixes and the worst part was that he started bowling flat bowls and left giving it a loop. He went for 54 runs in 4 overs.
