The Mumbai Indians are one of the most popular teams in the IPL but this season they have started on the wrong foot. The bench of the MI squad is stronger than some clubs playing in the IPL but Mumbai have not been able to get off the blocks quickly.
However they did record their first win of this season against a troubled RCB side who themselves have a star studded line up but are not firing when it is required. At the Chinnaswamy, the first good news for the team in blue was the victory which was led by the quick fire 42 off just 15 balls when the skipper of the team in blue went rampage.
However Sharma who was all smiles after the match had a warning come his way. The tournament organizers issued a warning to Rohit Sharma in wake of the slow over rate maintained by the Mumbai Indians in the match against RCB.
The statement also read that because this was Sharma’s first offence this season, complying with the minimum over rate rule, the organizers fined Sharma to the extent of Rs 12 Lakh.
The Mumbai Indians will play their next game away at the Feroz Shah Kotla and this will be running in Sharma’s mind all throughout the match.
