Mumbai Indians haven’t been to the best of their form this season far as their players have done well in patches. On the hand Kings, XI Players have struggled so far in the tournament and have registered just one win so far.
David Miller won the toss and as the trend has been in this season, he chose to field. Rohit Sharma’s performance batting first has been disappointing as he hasn’t gone past 10 runs in the first innings of IPL. Today was no different as he got out on a duck. Parthiv and Ambati Rayudu put up a 100 run plus stand and in the end Mumbai Indians scored 189 runs in 20 overs at the loss of 6 wickets.
Vijay and Vohra started aggressively for Kings XI Punjab but soon lost Murali Vijay. To chase a target this big, Kings XI needed the M3 (Marsh, Maxwell, and Miller) to strike. They did to an extent, but the target was too big for even them to get past.
