In conversation with host and sports broadcaster Jatin Sapru, discarded left-handed batsman and Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Gautam Gambhir has revealed that Delhi people abuse more than others unless it’s not being taken personally by any means, when he was asked: ‘do Delhi people abuse more than others?’.
In a candid chat, the 35-year-old Gambhir has named Team India skipper Virat Kohli, who is also the skipper of Indian Premier League (IPL), franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore, in a breakfast show while considering the fact that Kohli bear the testimony to it as both has been witnessed to competitive cricket in Delhi.
It becomes permanent here both Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir are aggressive on the field to give their best for their respective teams.
Delhi-born batsman said this in Kolkata Knight Riders sixteen-second video which was further uploaded on the official Twitter handle.
“Looking at someone like me and someone like Virat [Kohli] you can say that yes, we do, and there is nothing wrong in it unless you don’t take it personally,” Gambhir told Sapru in a Knight Club episode.
Gambhir has played a significant role with the bat to see his side Knight Riders placed at the second position on the points table of IPL 2017 with four wins in six games.
Interestingly, Delhi has witnessed competitive cricket which has not only help the players to groom, but they have reached to a wide claim either with their batting or bowling prowess.
Often seen as a cool and calm customer out of the field, Gambhir wears a pensive look when he is being seen marshalling his troops.
Gambhir stated he is always enjoying most of his time to spend with his daughter while adding it has been most fascinating thing in his life.
Since making his debut in 2003, Gambhir has played 147 ODIs, 58 Tests and 37 Twenty20 Internationals. He has scored 5,238 runs in ODIs, 4,154 in Tests and 932 runs in T20Is.
Gambhir has amassed 21 centuries and 56 half-centuries across two formats.
