The David Warner-led side has performed in pieces, which has been the main reason behind this team not being in top two, as whether talking about batting or bowling, both the departments haven’t done well on each game day, which is the main reason behind them not getting the success which was expected from the defending champions.

Talking points –

The biggest talking point in Sunrisers camp is the way youngsters have taken up the responsibility. Ashish Nehra, their experienced bowler has had injury prone season till now and once given the opportunity, youngsters like Mohammed Siraj and Siddharth Kaul responded well and have done the job. In fact, Kaul has now become the last over specialist of the team.

Another talking point was the way in which Vijay Shakar performed in the previous game after being roped in for an injured Yuvraj Singh. The skipper and team management will hope Shankar to come up with the same performance so as to be an asset for the team in future.

However, consistency of all the players will be the key for the team, as they gave everything to win all of their remaining games in order to defend their title.
