IPL 2017: Match 29 – Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Sunrisers Hyderabad – Royal Challengers Bangalore Predicted XI
Apr 24, 2017 at 11:53 PM
If there is one team in IPL that should be really concerned about their performance lately should be Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Everything has fallen out for the team and they look to be drowning in their own plight. Stung by a batting collapse, after being dismissed for just 49 by KKR — their lowest ever total in the history of IPL, where none of the eleven batsmen could get to double figures.
With only four points from seven games, RCB needs to get their campaign back on the track, as the tournament reaches its second phase.
On the flipside, Hyderabad will look to maintain their consistency, as they had pulled off four wins on a trot before losing to Rising Pune Supergiant in their previous game.
The extent of disappointment after their 49 is evident when the skipper, Virat Kohli termed it as their worst batting display. Big names like Virat Kohli, Chris gayle and AB de Villiers have failed to serve well and lower middle order too looked crumbled.
PREVIOUS ENCOUNTER:
They started off the first match in the tournament and Hyderabad won from where they left last seasons on final face off with Bangalore.RCB were outplayed. Particularly in fielding and bowling. SRH were brilliant with heir fielding and extremely disciplined with the bowling. RCB, on the other hand looked rusty. Their fielding was pathetic. Chahal bowled brilliantly. Mills too did a good job. But with the fielders so butter-fingered, the bowlers were let down time and again. The ground fielding too was bad. RCB’s batsmen got a look-in but seemed to lack the conviction to carry on. For SRH, Hendriques, Cutting and Yuvraj were outstanding. Skipper Warner didn’t get runs but fielded superbly. RCB lost by 35 runs.

TALKING POINTS:
Facing a form team like Sunrisers Hyderabad, who are on 8 points from seven games, will be a challenge for RCB, whose batting line-up has not fired consistently in the tournament. The ‘Big Three’ Kohli (154 from 4 matches), Chris Gayle (144 from 5 games) and AB de Villiers (145 from 4 games) have not been consistent in the tournament.
