Nearly, just nearly Sunrisers saved themselves from their third consecutive loss in IPL 2017 after winning first two matches. And on the other hand, Delhi almost pulled a stunning win against Kolkata Knight Riders in their last encounter.

Sunrisers Hyderabad known for backing their bowling. If we look at their past performances even in 2016, their bowlers played a crucial part in their title victory. David Warner was the lone warrior for them in the Batting and they got to the IPL crown because of their bowling. Though this season so far they have been little shaky but Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rashid Khan’s inspirational bowling performance is one of the main strength they have.
On the other hand, tournament’s dark horses Delhi Daredevils getting stronger as the tournament is progressing. Under Zaheer Khan and Rahul Dravid, this team has shown some grit and looked determined of winning from any situation. Two games they have lost and in those two games they fought till the last bowl and in their win, they have dominated their opponents.

Overview-

SRH- For Sunrisers this season has been a roller-coaster ride so far, winning their home games and getting defeated away from Hyderabad. this is also scheduled in Hyderabad and their bowlers are making full use of their conditions. Rashid Khan has been the find of this IPL and as a leg spinner, if you get wickets of Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina and Gautam Gambhir in your first over only you really deserve some appreciation. Bhuvneshwar Kumar one of India’s most under-rated bowler is leading the wicket taker list.

DD- Delhi’s performance has been little surprising and just like Sunrisers their bowling was their main strength with their young Indian batsman. Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson with their batting ignited some fie in the Delhi’s camp. It is going to be a contest of whose bowling can survive.

View on The Think Tank-

SRH- Sunrisers Hyderabad made few bowling changes for their game against Kings XI Punjab. Sidharth Kaul and Brainder Sran replaced Ashish Nehra and Bipul Sharma. Though Sran didn’t have a game to remember and Kaul was decent enough I feel Sunrisers won’t be making changes in their squad. Even if they do Ashish Nehra might replace Sran.

DD-  If we go by Rahul Dravid’s thinking which I have observed over the years is all about giving your team a full chance be it for any young player or any senior. Karun Nair after that triple ton against England has failed to reach at 30 mark, which is equally opposite to his capability, only concern in team selection will be about his name.

Tracking the strength:

SRH- Close your eyes and say bowling is Hyderabad’s main strength. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan and company always proves me right when I say this. They are fully banking on their bowling and they are capable of defending totals.

DD- Guys like Sanju Samson, Rishabh Pant and Karun Nair with experience of  Zaheer Khan, Amit Mishra and Chris Morris settles the squad pretty well. Comeback of Mohammed Shami is going to be a big booster for Delhi’s bowling, which will allow DD to go with one extra foreign batsman.

Head to Head-

Both teams have faced each other eight times and Sunrisers have better numbers with five victories and Delhi had won three games, two of their win came last season only. Delhi in 2016 has 2-0 scoreline in favour.

Prediction-

Since the last game was tight finish for the sides and in Hyderabad, your sower bower plays the trick and both of the teams are equipped evenly in that department I guess it is going to be one tight game again. For the team batting first, 170-180 will be a par score.
