Mumbai Indians (MI) snatched a superb victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at M Chinnaswamy Stadium (Bangalore). MI decided to bowl first after winning the toss, as they restricted RCB for 142/5 (20 overs) at the end of the first innings.
In reply, MI came under pressure after their top-order batsmen fell early. But with a brilliant partnership between Kieron Pollard and Krunal Pandya, MI clinched a victory in the end. MI reached the target in 18.5 overs, after losing six wickets, as they won the game by four wickets.

ii) It is the second best bowling figure against MI in IPL history. The record is 2-0-6-4 by Rohit Sharma (Deccan Chargers) at Centurion on 6th May 2009.
iii) Also, it is the best bowling figure in IPL at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore.
iv) It is the best economy rate (2.25) in an innings by an RCB bowler who completed his 4-over quota. The previous record was 50 by Anil Kumble (4-0-10-1) against Guyana at Centurion on 12th September 2010.
- MI batsmen Kieron Pollard and Krunal Pandya put a brilliant 93-runs partnership for the 6th wicket. It is MI’s second highest 6th wicket partnership. Their record 6th wicket partnership was also against RCB for 122* runs between Ambati Rayudu and Kieron Pollard at Bengaluru on 14th May 2012.
