IPL 2017: Stand-In Skipper Karun Nair Blames Lack Of Intent For Loss Against KXIP

Delhi Daredevils touched a new low in the history of Indian Premier League, as they registered their lowest ever total in all the ten editions they have participated in till now.
On a pitch where the jury predicted a total of 180, Delhi batsmen proved them wrong and were bundled out on a mere total of 67, to lose yet another game and sustain the last position in points table.
It was a poor application from batsmen, as they found themselves trapped in the variation put in by home bowlers, who found success, eventually. It will be unfair to expect anything from this team, as they installed Karun Nair as the captain of the side in Zaheer Khan’s absence. Nair himself is out of form and has just touched 30 run mark once this season.
This directly raises questions over the backroom staff, as Rahul Dravid hasn’t been able to restrain himself for his love for Karun Nair.
Rest, all depends upon the team management on how to come out with results.
Here is what Karun Nair, the skipper of Delhi Daredevils said after a disappointing loss against KXIP –
Karun Nair:
“Disappointing. Don’t think it was a 67 all-out wicket. We lost too many wickets at the start. It was just a lack of intent, I guess. We didn’t get the kind of partnership we wanted. The team chat in the innings break was nothing much but we wanted to make them work for each run. I don’t think there was anything strange in the wicket. Slightly slow but wasn’t a 67 all-out wicket, as I said.”
