Going into the business end of the tournament, the Kolkata Knight Riders have made a perfect case of how not to chase a moderate target. First it was against the Kings XI Punjab at Mohali, when they messed up an easy run chase. And now in their own backyard against Mumbai Indians, the Knight Riders made an absolute meal of the run chase to only jeopardize their campaign. Needing 174 to win, the Knight Riders frequently lost wickets and that hampered the run chase to a great extent. Once Manish Pandey was dismissed, the chase was completely off track as Hardik Pandya bowled two superb overs the death to restrict the Knight Riders below the target.
