What seemed like an absolute belter of a pitch turned out to be a tough one to bat on eventually, as the Rising Pune Supergiant defeated the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

During the first innings, with Pune scraping their way to 161 thanks to a late assault from Manoj Tiwary, in the lower middle order.

The game, though, would best be remembered for the magical work of MS Dhoni behind the stumps, as he turned the game around on its head by dismissing Bangalore’s gun batsman AB de Villiers within a flash by taking the bails off.

From there on, the Royal Challengers fell behind the required run rate and eventually were short of Pune’s total of 161. Fans on Twitter took digs at the hosts but also lauded Dhoni for his smartness behind the stumps. Below are some of the tweets.
