Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner has said he is still good friends with Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who after the Test series against Australia said he might not be good friends with many of the Australian players,

“Ya. I had a chat with Virat. We are still friends, thankfully. I had a text conversation with him which is very nice of him,” said Warner.

“As we all know, we all got jobs to do. You guys (journalists) write, right or wrong. We players…that’s how the game is. But, away from this, we are still very good friends. Sometimes on the field, we can take it too seriously and for the emotions for the next hour, we might be thinking they are not going to be anymore this and that, but for us, we are all going to be friends, everything is taken care. It’s a friendly environment, especially IPL and world cricket. We just love playing the game and making sure everyone is smiling,” the Vice Captain of Australian Test side added.

The Test series between India and Australia was a heated affair where the things were put to rest when Australian skipper Steven Smith apologised for all his comments.

There were many heated exchanges on and off the field but in the end, series ended on a positive note with India sealing the series by a margin of 2-1.

Warner further revealed that Mustafizur Rahman will be joining the team in Mumbai, where Hyderabad will take on Mumbai Indians on April 12,

“You know as much as I do. I didn’t even know that he was not going to be here till I landed. I think the whisper was he is going to be with us in Mumbai.”

Now with Warner comments, it has been cleared that BCB has allowed Mustafizur to take part in the league. Though he might leave the league early to be fit for the Champions Trophy to be played in the month of June in England.

Sunrisers Hyderabad, the defending champions won their first game of the tournament against Royal Challengers Bangalore, as they defeated them by a margin of 35 runs.

They will be taking on Gujarat Lions in their second game of the tournament at their home ground on April 9.

Gujrat Lions will miss on the services of Ravindra Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo again.
