After reports of a fight between Sarfaraz Khan of Bangalore Royal Challengers and Robin Uthappa of Kolkata Knight Riders emerged, the IPL match Referee Javagal Srinath has denied the occurrence of any such that kind.

Srinath denied having received any particular complaints in the matter, and also denied having witnessed the event.

Another spokesperson for the Kolkata Knight riders has denied knowledge of any such incident involving Robin Uthappa.

Reports indicate a sort of altercation between Kolkata Knight Rider’s Robin Uthappa, and Royal Challenger Bangalore’s Sarfaraz Khan.

AB de Villiers and Ashok Dinda were also at the scene and attempted to rescue Sarfaraz.

The incident went so far as Uthappa grabbing the collar of Sarfaraz, it was reported.

It has come to light that a meeting was held late at night, convened by Javagal Singh for the game, the match referee, with Kolkata Knight Rider’s Robin Uthappa, Royal Challenger Bangalore’s AB de Villiers. Kolkata Knight Riders CEO Venky Mysore was also present for the proceedings.

The outcome of such a meeting was not reported to the media. However, Robin Uthappa has sought an apology from the concerned parties for the incident, but as of now it is unclear what the official stand on the incident is.

Javagal Srinath has also denied existence of any official complaint as of now.
