IPL Auction 2017: Mohammed Siraj Sold To Sunrisers Hyderabad For 2.6 Crore

The uncapped 22-year-old bowler Mohammed Siraj grabbed the eyeballs in the tenth edition of Indian Premier League auction when he was sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad for 2.6 crores while having the base price of 20 lakh.

Banking on his pretty good action, the Hyderabad-born and right-arm fast bowler Siraj has impressed the selectors in the domestic circuit by giving best of the performances which also helped him to gain the attention of the bidders in the IPL Auction 2017 before joining the SRH.

Siraj has picked nine wickets in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2016-17 at an average of 13.88

In 11 first-class games, Siraj has picked 44 wickets at an average of 22.09 which included one five-wicket haul and three five-wicket hauls.

In the 2016-17 Ranji Trophy season, Siraj, who has also earned the call to India A and Rest of India this season, was the third highest wicket-taker by claiming 41 wickets at an average of 18.92 for Hyderabad.

In 10 Twenty20s, Siraj has picked up 16 wickets at an average of 17.8 with the best bowling figures of 4 for 24 against Andhra Pradesh On February 3.

He should be a good prospect for the SRH while having the experienced line-up in the bowling department.
