This was the highest score for 5 more seasons Until Chris Gayle scored 175 runs not out for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Pune Warriors India. This was also the fastest century in terms of strike rate; Gayle faced 66 balls with a strike rate of 265.15.

 

The slowest century was scored by Sachin Tendulkar for the Mumbai Indians against the Kochi Tuskers Kerala. He scored 100 runs in 66 balls at a strike rate of 151.51.
