In an interesting move, the Sling Television in United States has made an announcement after they had joined hands with the Willow TV, which recently has acquired the media rights for the US based people for the upcoming tenth edition of the VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) which will kick start in April in India.

The online medium has further claimed the international programming company is the hotspot for the cricket action in US.

“Sling TV has always been the top destination for cricket matches and tournaments, and today through our partnership with Willow TV, our cricket offerings got even stronger. Willow, the leading provider of cricket in the U.S., recently acquired the exclusive media rights for the VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017,” Sling TV said in a press statement.

The Sling TV will cater the demands of the growing number of fans to further entertain the viewers by providing them the exclusive coverage of the lucrative Twenty20 league from India.

“Willow, the leading provider of cricket in the US, recently acquired the exclusive media rights for the VIVO Indian Premier League 2017,” Izabela Slowikowska, vice president of Sling Tv said.

Izabela has further stated that the bond got stronger after the company tied up with the Willow Tv.

“Through our partnership with Willow TV, our cricket offerings got even stronger,” Izabela added.

As the foreign players added the glamour to the shortest format of the cricket, IPL has become one of the lucrative leagues which had garnered millions of viewers across the globe following its popularity by becoming the hottest property of the star players under one roof since 2007.

“When the season gets underway in April, we want to ensure Sling subscribers don’t miss a second of the action,” the statement added.

The statement further said the programmes will include much-awaited matches of the forthcoming Champions Trophy 2017 and other series which will take place later in the year including the Willow and Willow Extra in the World Cricket package.

However, the Sling TV has also taken care of the subscribers by making its cricket packs available to the viewers in the country with the fixed price charts.

“We’re excited to announce special pricing of our new World Cricket standalone pack, which launches today and is priced at $10. Viewers can get six months of the package for one low payment of $40 or twelve months for $60 (INR 3989.70),” the statement concluded.

The IPL will be beginning from April 5 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad between the hosts Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
