For most of us Indian Premier League is all about big hitting and just big hitting. Little do we understand that there are more ways to score runs quickly. But we want entertainment and huge sixes do entertain us. In todays stat, just before the IPL season 8 begins, we will take a look at players to hit most number of sixes in the history of Pepsi IPL.

Here is the list of batsmen with most number of sixes in Indian Premier League. Undoubtedly Chris Gayle tops the list with 192 sixes in 67 innings. Till now only 7 batsmen have hit more than 100 sixes.

Chris Gayle with 192 sixes has a huge lead over other players. Following him is Suresh Raina and Rohit Sharma with 134 and 126 sixes respectively. Next two in the list are Yusuf Pathan and Yuvraj Singh. Other two players to have hit more than 100 sixes are MS Dhoni (109) and Virender Sehwag (103). With the all controversy happening between Yuvraj Singh and Dhoni, it will crucial to see who ends the tournament with more sixes. There is nothing both these need to prove to the world. It just the hype that keeps the fans interested and players going. 

 With a lot of big hits expected to happen in the tournament, there is a big chance that there might be a new face in the list aprt from the Top 7. Closest are Uthappa from KKR and and Shane Watson, the captain of Rajasthan Royals team.

But who will emerge as the topper? We will only by the end of the tournament!
