Chaing a mammoth target of 196 runs, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) managed to score just 165/5 in their 20 allotted overs against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), thus losing by 30 runs at at Eden Gardens, Kolkta, on Thursday.

For RCB, Yogesh Takawale top scored with 45 runs, while Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh contributed 38 and 22 runs.

For KKR, Sunil Narine was the star picking uo four wicket for just 20 runs in his four allotted overs, while Umesn Yadav picked up another wicket.

Having being invited to bat first, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) scored against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their 20 allotted overs.

For KKR, Robin Uthappa top scored with a brilliant, while Shakib Al Hasan smashed 60 runs off just 38 deliverie.

For RCB, Mitchell Starc, Askoh Dinda, and Abu Nechim took a wicket each, while the last wicket to fall was a run-out. The unlucky bastman was Yusuf Pathan.

Earlier at the toss, Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli elected to chase in a must-win game to stay alive in a race for playoff. Virat Kohli said he believes the pitch would be very slow and might help with the batsmen under lights so it will give an advantage to Bangalore. On to the team changes now where Royal Challengers Bangalore made couple of changes to their line-up as they decided to replace with fast bowler Varun Aaron with Ashok Dinda. The other change that Bangalore intitated was bringing back Yogesh Takawale in place for Parthiv Patel.

Kolkata Knight Riders captain Gautam Gambhir, on the otehr hamd, stayed away from making any predictions about the pitch, but showed confidence in the ability of his spinners bowl out Bangalore. On to the team news now where Kolkata Knight Riders also made couple of changes as Piyush Chawla made way for Vinay Kumar. The other replacement was Pat Cummins being replace by Morne Morkel. A win for Kolkata Knight Riders would seal a playoff spot.
