One of the most exciting all-rounders in the Indian cricket once upon a time Irfan Pathan will play for the Chennai Super Kings this year in the IPL.
Pathan who had his International career hampered by injuries seems to be in a love affair with them as he is ruled unfit to play the opener against Delhi here in Chennai. Fleming, the Coach of the CSK confirmed that Pathan along with Andrew Tye is suffering from injuries and their progress will be monitored for the future.
Fleming also added that the CSK believe in having experienced players in the side and that players like Nehra and Hussey have a huge role to play in the season ahead. He added that the Dhoni-Raina combination is also a factor they are looking to work with.
Fleming who said that the game depends on the team the Delhi Daredevils send out and that he will not take the likes of Gary Kirsten and JP Duminy lightly. He also added that the Chepauk wicket was new and that they had to play atleast a game or two before deciding how it really is playing.
The CSK team who were in the middle of a spot fixing scandal had no player effected by the fiasco, said Fleming, that they have answered all questions asked of them and that the whole saga is no longer in their minds.
