Indian Captain MS Dhoni has clarified that the Fast Bowler, Ishant Sharma will not be fit enough by the time of fourth Test, which will be starting from August 7 at Old Trafford, Manchester. Dhoni said that he hasn’t talked much with physio but surely Ishant will be available for the next game due to the ankle injury.
“Definitely he won’t be fit for the next game,” Dhoni said during the post-match presentation at the Ageas Bowl. “Never really had a discussion with our physio, but as of now he won’t be available for the fourth Test match.“
India had been forced to leave out Ishant Sharma for the third Test at the Ageas Bowl, Southampton after he suffered an “Ankle strain”[The team management described as a “sore leg”]. Ishant, who took a match-winning seven-wicket haul, his career best in the final innings of the Lord’s Test, was replaced by Pankaj Singh, who made his test debut went wicketless and recorded worstever figures on a debut at Southampton despite of bowling well.
